Most great solutions stem from a common problem and that is exactly the way totski started out. The founders of totski, had been hittin the slopes since childhood and had loved every minute on the mountain. They didn’t know each other then, but they definitely had one thing in common. They had both realized a need; a need that they would eventually come together to find a solution for.

She loved going out to the mountains, whether it was a family trip to see the snow or a snowboarding trip with her friends, she was always stoked to get out there. However, every time she was on the slopes, she began noticing that skiers were definitely having issues. Whether in the parking lot, on their way to the lifts, or while walking around the lodge; people were having some trouble holding on to their skis. The more she thought about it, the more she noticed that everywhere she looked, the predicament was apparent. That’s when the idea of a product that would make things easier began to form.

Around the same time, he had decided it was time to begin passing on his knowledge of skiing to his four year old son, but had run into a problem. He couldn’t possibly expect his four year old to hold the two skis without dropping them. So, he was stuck trying to lug around his own skis, the snacks for the day, and his son’s skis, all the while trying to keep his son on his feet. Between his son’s slips and trips throughout the day, he noticed that other parents had the same problem. Immediately, the wheels began to turn.

Fast-forward a couple of months, they began discussing their weekends on the slopes and the experiences they’d had. They decided to take a look into doing something about it and totski was born.
